LIFE LATELY

Old Things. Weird Things

On Sunday, Asha and I went on a treasure hunt at the weekend Flea Market held at the Raleigh State Fair Grounds.

After watching one too many videos on a youtube channel called GOROGORO KITCHEN about a Japanese couple living in Paris who love to go to Flea Markets, I had the urge to rummage through some old junk, so off we went.

The Raleigh Flea Market on this particular visit was smallish and not too busy. The outside stalls included the perfect mix of old, junky ( including “$1 clothes table”), and absurd. The inside stalls were more organized with home décor, clothes, toys, and knick knacks.

Asha found a golden angel brooch, some old keys to turn into a necklace, and two new pokeman stuffies for her pokeman obsessed brothers. I found an old white chamber pot for a $1 which I plan to use as a vase after a thorough cleaning.

All in all it was a great way to spend a beautiful weekend afternoon with my bestie! :)

Wish I had bought this set for Arjun.

Just as addictive as the real deal. Asha played with it in trance for a good 2 minutes before breaking out of it.

How to safely transport a chamber pot in the car.
