Beach Pictures and Fort Macon State Park

I wanted to share a few more pictures from our recent trip to Topsail. Ajay enjoyed his first beach trip very much. Arjun discovered his love for sand while simultaneously feeling very irritated when wet sand stuck on his body. Asha proved to be a fearless water baby! I rediscovered my preference for one-piece bathing suits! And Devang, I think, regained his faith in being able to travel with three little kids! All in all, this was a great getaway for all of us!

On our way back home, we made a pit stop for lunch in Beaufort, NC and then visited Fort Macon State Park to see the oldest civil-war era fort in NC. It was a great little detour and I highly recommend it if you happen to be in the area and have an hour or two to spare. Every Wednesday at 4pm, the park has a cannon firing demonstration. We happen to be there at the right time! The Fort has a small museum and a gift shop, along with lots of outdoor space for the kids to run around. Just make sure to cover those little ears when the cannon fires!
