Afternoon Tea at the Peninsula Hotel

When the company is good it hardly matters where one spends the day. This Sunday though, it was extra special to not only find some time to hang out with my two sisters-in-law Komal and Lisa, but to do it in style at the Peninsula Hotel over some tea.

I’ll admit that I am a sucker for fancy hotels and the Peninsula doesn’t disappoint. The tea service is held in their Lobby which is gorgeous in itself and add to that the awesome staff and the delicious tea things and the entire experience feels very luxurious yet cozy.

I opted for a Ginger Twist herbal tea and their traditional tea menu. I blame it on being 38-weeks pregnant but I destroyed the sandwiches and pastries; I could have had more of everything.  And just when I thought it couldn’t get any better, they brought out a warm chocolate souffle to the table and needless to say I found myself in an even happier place.

Mother’s day is just around the corner and I wish my mom was around for me to treat her to this fantastic experience.  Needless to say, it’s something that doesn’t need an occasion so that the next time she is in town, I’ll make sure to surprise her.

Thanks to my better half for making this whole thing happen. It was a lovely treat for all three of us!
