After work today I picked up some munchies and headed to meet a few friends at the Jay Pritzker Pavillion in Millennium Park. This is becoming a Wednesday evening tradition as of late and I can’t be happier.
Giselle, the ballet on show today was being aired live from Paris. I had a little trouble following the plot mainly because I have never seen a ballet before and I kept getting distracted with costumes and things, but thanks to Dottie and wikipedia on my phone I was able to get through it just fine.
Sarah and Glenn brought some amazing cheeses. Dottie came with a couple of bottles of wine and bread in tow. Nuts and dry fruit, soy chips, crackers, hummus, carrots, and chocolate covered pretzels completed the food offerings. Dinner!
The ballet was in two acts and we finished around 9:40pm. After packing up our picnic we hopped on our bikes and took the lakeshore trail home. This was the first time that I rode my bike with others in Chicago. I wish I had taken a picture.
Since I don’t have a picture to share from tonight’s ride, here is one from yesterday after a fun evening at the Museum of Contemporary Art.
I hope you are having a great summer too!
A beautiful night! Riding with you and the whole pack was the best part, for sure!
