I wish I had thrown more dinner parties for my friends and family. I wish I had travelled to Italy with my sister. I wish I had gone to the beach more. I wish I had spent more time with my nephews. I wish there was time for more summer concerts. Nevertheless, 2009 was a very satisfying year. Among other things, it goes down in history as the year I bought a bike. It’s true that more significant things happened, such as finishing Graduate School, but as far as childhood dreams being realized, my Trek 7100 is it. Silly things that make me happy. It is what it is.
2010 is radically promising. I am getting married and most likely moving from DC. I am going to be in denial of these facts for a little longer. Growing up is not my forte.
Next: Goals for 2010.
I must learn to love the fool in me- the one who feels too much, talks too much, takes too many chances, wins sometimes and loses often, lacks self-control, loves and hates, hurts and gets hurt, promises and breaks promises, laughs and cries.
