Spring Break 2026 : Checking-in from Italy

Checking in with a few pictures from our five days in the Liguria and Tuscany regions of Italy. We visited La Spezia, Cinque Terre, Corsagna, Florence, Pisa, and Lucca (of which I have only been to Florence before).

We have a rental car which means we have covered a lot of ground in between these big citites. It’s been so lovely especially with this spring weather. Also, I am so stuffed that I don’t think I ever want to eat again.

Except, we are headed to France next and I might just need to grow another stomach.

Our stays have been at two different Airbnbs so far – One in La Spezia and one on the mountain top in Corsagna. Using real keys to get in and out, air drying our laundered clothes, tiny refridgerators, limited hot water for showers, taking stairs and walking a lot, being mindful of our power usage (because we did blow the fuse once with too many things on), tiny parking spots – all have been a wonderful reminder of how things work in other parts of the world.

For our last night in Corsagna tonight, we went to the only restaurant in town. We had lost track of time being on vacation and didn’t realize that it was Friday night. The entire town was there, it seemed. There was also a birthday party for a 12 year old for which 24+ kids and 20+ adults were having dinner together. It was all very italian in the best way possible.

Tomorrow we head back to France for our last three days of vacation before we head home. I will share more pictures from our Italy leg once I have better internet connection. Talk soon. Ciao!
