Haiku: Wild Flowers

On my bike ride today
I plucked wild flowers along the way
And normalcy felt so overrated.

My feelings ebb and flow between happiness and sadness as I realize that many of the things I am enjoying so much right now wouldn’t have happened without the quarantine.

I miss everything and nothing at the same time. I am lonely without friends and family, but also the most relaxed I have ever been. Mom guilt hasn’t even crossed my mind in these last few weeks.

Good times are self made. Just remember that, especially if you are healthy and without a worry about food and money. Dust off that old bike and go for a ride I say.

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times ...
