Playdate at the Union Station

Last week we lost power for a couple of hours after a quick yet fierce thunder-storm in Raleigh. The rain stopped almost as quickly as it had started though, and since it was safe to drive, I took the kids to Raleigh’s new Union Station until our power was restored. We were the only ones in there, and after waving bye-bye to the conductor and his train which was bound for Charlotte, the kids pretty much took over the main floor (much to the security guard’s chagrin). This weekend we are expecting Hurricane Florence to make its way to Raleigh. It’s not looking too good per the weather reports. So to borrow wisdom from Jay-Z’s In anticipation for precipitation stack chips for the rainy day – hope your chips are stacked. Stay safe guys and let’s hope that Florence passes without much trouble!
