A fresh start.

Today I painted over the dark maroon in the dining room and the powder room to a white with a hint of gray.  I love the new color and how it makes the room so fresh and inviting. It took two coats of Behr’s Primer + Paint and all along I was worried that I wouldn’t have enough time to finish the project given that Arjun and I were home alone.  But I am learning that these things have a way to work themselves out and the Universe was on my side today so finish I did.  In our last home it took me almost 11 months to change the wall colors and I’m just glad that this time the task didn’t linger for that long.

Later Asha helped me put some yellow lilies in the vase.  They were as big as she. I am trying to make fresh flowers more of a routine.  Our yard has some pretty fun choices but I do love my lilies and today when I saw these bright yellow ones, I could hardly resist.

A productive first day of the week is promising and I am looking forward to an exciting week ahead, especially since Devang will be home for most of it.  Hope you have a wonderful week too.  IMG_2203 IMG_2206 IMG_2235 IMG_2236 IMG_2249IMG_2244
