Happy Mother’s Day!

Four generations
Four Generations Together: Asha in the lap of her great grandmother, my mom to her left, and me.

To steal a phrase from a friend, ” …no my mom is the best”.

Joking aside, there aren’t enough words that can describe how much I love my mom and all the things I have to thank her for.  She raised me to be independent, fearless, and no less than a boy, in a society where such things weren’t always easily done. And if she ever paid for my strong headedness as I grew older, she never said so.  She’s a saint really!

Happy Mother’s Day to my strong, smart, fearless, courageous, spiritual, funny, creative, patient, and generous mom. I hope all of you are just as lucky.

And if you are looking to also thank other mothers around the world, here are two charities that I love and do just that – Last Mile Health and Manav Sadhna.  Go make your mama proud and support a greater cause on her special day!
