I get a rash every time I hear the word “suburbs”. But what I do fantasize about is living in the country on a ranch with goats and chickens. There I would ride my bike on the dirt roads and not worry about locking it when I have to run in a store. And of course I’d see familiar faces no matter where I go. I know people who were raised in such a place and they never fail to admit that they couldn’t wait to get out of there. Yet, I dream on.
Today, Asha and I went to the Logan Square Farmers Market to get some fresh air and check out the scene. Beside all the local charm I ran into so many familiar faces. For those couple of hours it felt like I did live in a small town where everyone knows each other. This will do just fine for now.
Logan Square is a small town in a big city. Welcome home!
A lovely morning! I have those same fantasies, although I'm sure I'd go stir crazy living in a small town. I just need to move to Logan Square.
Asha looks comfortable. :)
