It may have been over a decade since we moved from Chicago, but it still feels like home ever time we find ourselves there.

Just ask our kids who pretty much see their parents lose it and talk over each other with their “2 blocks that way”, “3 blocks that way”, “on your right is where”, “on your left was when we first”, so on and so forth.
A couple of weeks ago, we were lucky enough to be visiting our families in the Chicago burbs. We got away for a brunch in the city on Saturday and even in those 2 hours, we felt like we relived our entire past life in Chicago. Smiling ear to ear the whole time. Feeling a decade younger.

There was a haze in the sky due to the wild fires in Canada when I took these few pictures. And those buildings – man – never will I ever get tired of seeing them! Just wanted to take a minute and share these with you. Hope your summer is off to a good start.
