We are taking the red eye from the west coast to the east coast tonight. We get in around 5:00am eastern time on Monday morning, with a full schedule that includes middle school orientation, elementary school meet-the-teacher, work, and baseball practices. Back to reality, as one says.

It is a little daunting. All of this jaunting around when we should actually be settling in with a schedule for the new year, but I suppose we are made for this kind of adventure, and thrive on the excitment of one last hurrah before school, work, and sports take over our fall.
This trip – planned completely by Dev – was so perfectly executed. He makes it all so look effortless and fun, but I know that a lot of work goes into it. I am eternally thankful to have such a trustworthy and adventurous spouse who unfolds multi day trips covering miles and miles of a region, with remarkable activities, as if it was no big deal.
I can’t wait to get home and share more pictures and our itinerary. Talk to you soon!
