Janet and I made the easy 30-minute journey from Paris to Giverny to see Monet’s home and gardens. The fall is a wonderful time to visit since the weather is cool, the crowds are relatively low, and the garden is filled with so many colorful flowers.
[ Buying tickets in advance of your visit is a must. You can take a taxi from the train station once in Giverny to the entrance of the home; or take a leisurely 20-minute walk through the quaint town. ]

Personally, the inside of the home was just as fascinating to me as the outside. I loved the different floor tiles and rugs in each room; the yellow kitchen; the walls decked out with painting floor to ceiling. It really puts the minimalist and white wall perspective to shame.

I want to return here with Dev some day soon.
